Can an extension form a backdrop for it’s host?

Our proposal uses the site constraints to generate a pixelated back-drop in charred timber, for the existing red brick form to be celebrated against. The form allows the 8 split-level apartments access to generous terraces, and the ground floor commercial spaces are to be refurbished.
